Previous India batsman Mohammed Kaif has been delegated the chief of the Chhattisgarh state group which will make its Ranji Trophy debut in the up and coming season.

Kaif, best known for being the draftsman of India’s Natwest Trophy triumph, route in 2002, had last played for India 10 years back and has been carrying out his specialty for the most part in residential cricket.
He has played 13 Tests in which he scored 624 keeps running with the best of 148 against the West Indies. In ODIs, he had a nearly better record of 2753 keeps running from 125 matches with an unassuming normal of 32 or more. He hit 2 hundreds and 17 half-hundreds of years.
